Prevention is better than shame.

In my post "Back from the dead and jumpin' all over the place"  , I gave you a "silver bullet"... a very important idea that will only take  you minutes to read but once you understand... could eliminate a lifetime of headaches and heartaches.

In this continuing post...

I will give you another one!

So how do you prevent problems from that post from happening?

  1. Keep your camera to yourself and don't let anybody borrow it. You'll be branded as a greedy bastard and I guess what's going to prevent YOU from losing your camera in the mall or in the park?

  2. Or you can download another software that literally wipes out all your personal and private files from any media its written on. Yes that includes pictures and video on your memory card.

There are also dozens of this type of software on the internet, but my favorite and the one I personally use is fileshredder from

http://www.fileshredder.org/

According to the website:

File Shredder has been developed as fast, safe and reliable tool to shred company files. The author of this program released it free under GNU licence and you are welcome to download File Shredder and use it without any restrictions. File Shredder is simple but powerful program that surpasses manu commercial file shredders out there. The Author believes that such a utility should be available to anyone for free and that permanent and safe removal of confidential documents is a matter of basic right to privacy.

You can download it from here.

Ow, did I forgot to mention that it's FREE?

Peace of Mind.

P.S. DISCLAIMER! Please test this software thoroughly with Unimportant Files first, because the minute you shred a file, you can never get it back, not even the CSI team can help you.

P.S.S. Its a good idea to keep all these softwares that I review and refer to you in ONE folder or USB drive. They are indispensable and I guarantee you'll be using them a lot from now on... or you can simply bookmark this site so you can get to it if you need to.
