Buying your first digital camera Part1

If it's the first time you're buying a digital camera... My first tip for you is to Write Down the names of the top 3 cameras that you are considering  to buy and...

STOP!

Delay your digital camera purchase until after you've read this post. You'll know later why you have to write down your top 3 digital cameras, as your decisions after this post could radically change.

Now go to my favorite 3 sites first to find out all about the features and technical specifications on those 3 cameras and make a note... Incidentally you can use these sites to research on just about any camera out there...even the ones you already own.

Next - ask yourself what type of pictures you want to take... or the possible applications you may want to use your digital camera for;

Take pictures of people

- Portraiture... to take pictures of your Family, Portraits of People

- Weddings and Events

- Photojournalism and Street Photography

Take pictures of things

- Still Life, Stock, Food and Product Photography

Take pictures of places

- Landscape, Travel, Panorama and Fine Art

Then try to play with it in your head for a while - imagine... daydream... or even sleep on it. Believe it or not, your subconscious will do more work to let you arrive at a better decision... a lot better than what you thought about from just an hour of thinking... so don't rush it.

The next key questions that I will provide will give you a solid ground on where to base your decision for buying the camera that is just right for you.

So stay tuned!

On Part 2 of this series....
