How to setup your own Website - For Free!

I was talking to some colleagues at a recent photography club meeting and some of them inquired if I know of any website where they can host their own photography site to showcase their gallery, blog or design portfolio. Again, I mined my archives and found a cool site that should do the job.

To Get a Free Website for your photography gallery or design portfolio, go to webhost here.

1. Free website of your choice.
2. 250 MB Disk Space.
3. 100 GB Data Transfer.

and so much more...

Let me know if this works for you.

Make it a great week.

The camera accessory that you could get for free.

If you'd only ask.

Yup, you could get a lenshood for free if you just ask for it while getting deals for your camera purchase. This is very useful especially when you're taking pictures outdoors and the contrast of your photos always ends up so and so or worst... there is a nasty lens flare. This also applies in the studio when the flash lights are very near or in front of your lens. Unless you want it there intentionally for effects purposes, a lens flare always gets in the way of a successful shoot.

Want to know the benefits of a lenshood without shelling out big bucks for the original/manufacturer version? ... You do? then head on to this site to know more...

http://www.lenshoods.co.uk/

According to the site:

  • Printable lens hoods offer a number of advantages over their costly counterparts:
  • Ultra compact - can be carried unfolded.
  • No waiting to order one - simply download, print, cut-out and attach.
  • Redundancy - don't worry if you lose one; just print another!
  • 100% recyclable.
  • Can be modified to cater for different digital SLR sensor crop factors.
  • Available in both 'rounded' and 'petal' versions.

And best of all...

They're absolutely free!

Kudos to Paul Mutton for providing a valuable website. I've used one myself when I forgot my lenshood and was shooting on location. I just downloaded one, printed it and I clicked away.

Lens flare be gone. Just download a PDF for your camera brand and put one on your camera bag. What? your camera brand is not listed? There is a link in the top left corner of the site that says

"custom hoods"

Simply click on it and design a custom one based on your lens. Don't you just love it when somebody thinks of your needs in advance?

Peace.

P.S. Don't forget to share this with your friends and colleagues by bookmarking this blog on your favorite social bookmarker like delicious, stumbleupon, or digg whose buttons you can simply click below. What's that? you already did? Thanks!

How to look like a star in just a few clicks.

If you by any chance bought a digital camera after reading my post "Top 20 key questions to ask when buying a digital camera" then this idea should be a fun way to use and test it.

I recently was talking to Jonica (my cousin) while she was doing stuff in her computer and noticed a nice website she was using to "PIMP" her friendster website. Check it out.

http://www.magmypic.com

you simply upload your picture and tada! instant celebrity status.

Not my cup of tea you say?

The real secret here is not in the way the website converts your uploaded pictures... No sir... Its the way people (especially your friends) will react to your picture on a cover of a magazine... and the interesting part is they won't even care what magazine...

Its YOU in front of whatever magazine!

Ok numnuts. Just a simple marketing tactic. Try it yourself. Take a picture and put one on your blog, socialsite, website, even your store if you have one and see what happens...

Make it a great week.

P.S. If you find this helpful Pls. remember to use the sharethis button below to email this post and share it with your friends.
